Background – Corey is a Director at Myna Partners. He has over 20 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and IT Audit. At Myna Partners, he leads teams of experienced professionals in the areas of cybersecurity and data privacy assessments, including Third Party Risk Management. He also leads teams of OneTrust engineers that perform design and implementation engagements. Prior to Myna Partners, Corey was a Managing Director of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy at a data risk management consulting firm leading Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Assessments. He has also worked extensively within IT Audit and led Information Security and IT Operational audits, as well as performed high-value audits of IT applications and infrastructure.
Experience, Skills, and Expertise – Corey has hands-on experience with cybersecurity and data privacy, assisting with large global and regional organizations. He has extensive project management experience, successfully managing project teams and working with key client stakeholders from across the organization. Corey has led numerous assessments and audits and OneTrust design / redesign and configuration projects. His experience in IT Audit has allowed him to create and manage Internal Audit Plan’s, manage testing, and propose compliance and best practice enhancements. Many of these enhancements related to cost savings and major organizational changes in key divisions.
Certifications and Education – Corey is a Certified Information Privacy Professional US (CIPP/US), a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Project Management Professional (PMP). He also holds the full spectrum of OneTrust certifications: OneTrust Fellow of Privacy Technology; OneTrust Professional: Privacy, ESG and GRC; and OneTrust Expert: Cookie Consent, Consent & Preference Management, Data Discovery, Data Mapping, Incident Management, PIA & DPIA, Privacy Rights Automation and Third-Party Risk Management. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Boston University.
