Hope Modugno
Background – Hope is a Senior Privacy & Compliance Specialist with Myna Partners. She has experience in privacy compliance and process improvement efforts, specifically in analyzing information lifecycles and business processes, as well as developing privacy frameworks, policies, program strategies, and action plans. She has specific experience in planning, drafting, and implementing terms and conditions and privacy policies in accordance with all five US state privacy regulations in effect, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Hope has experience working with stakeholders across various industries, including sports, education, commercial real estate services, private equity and more.
Experience, Skills, and Expertise – Hope has experience supporting clients on various legal issues, in addition to extensive research and writing skills. She has experience aiding clients in identifying, documenting, and implementing compliance requirements under various international, federal, and state regulatory frameworks, specifically the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Hope’s expertise shines through her work creating globally compliant privacy programs while emphasizing minimal risk across multiple jurisdictions for clients operating worldwide. Additionally, during law school, Hope completed her thesis on the GDPR’s right to be forgotten while working towards her International Law concentration.
Certifications and Education – Hope graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. Furthermore, Hope earned her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, where she concentrated in International Law.
