Background – Dave Cohen has worked in the information privacy field for over 13 years, producing, designing, hosting and moderating conversations on cutting edge privacy and data security issues. He has been at the center of the constantly evolving discussions on privacy legal compliance and privacy control operational best practices and has worked with top international and domestic privacy thought leaders. Prior to joining Myna Partners, Dave was the Senior Knowledge Manager at the IAPP, responsible for all aspects of the webinar production team as well as live conference speaker leadership and management.
Experience, Skills, and Expertise – Dave’s experience in the field of information privacy focuses on producing, designing, hosting and moderating interactive educational presentations and workshops in both live and virtual contexts. He’s created and hosted hundreds of programs exploring subjects ranging from important privacy laws including: the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the U.S. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), among other privacy laws, to essential information privacy governance and operational control topics.
Certifications and Education – Dave is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) with the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) holding both the CIPP/E (Europe) and CIPP/US (United States) certifications. He also holds the OneTrust professional certification. His undergraduate degree is from the University of New Hampshire, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in English.
