Privacy Program

A global provider of industrial and commercial internet connected irrigation equipment needed to develop the capabilities to assess privacy risk for existing and future products and services, along with the policies and procedures to support them.​

our approach

  • Through a collaborative process with key functional team leaders at the client’s corporate headquarters, Myna staff developed customized, flexible tools and supportive policy and procedure documentation as the foundation for a newly matured privacy program.​
  • Staff involved with new product and service design were involved in the tool development process to ensure that the final tool design was optimized for the company structure and culture.​

Program Outcomes

  • Simple to use yet powerful and flexible software tools were created for the privacy compliance team at the corporate headquarters. These tools were used to establish a baseline and further mature global privacy compliance within the organization.​
  • A privacy program steering committee was formed and began meeting monthly to monitor new product and service offerings for potential personal information control requirements. ​
    • The newly developed PIA and DPIA tools were deployed by product management and development personnel to assess and remediate personal information data flow obligations.​
